Role Description

This is a full-time Accountant Specialist role based in Lisbon (On-site). In this role, you will be responsible for helping Tally’s clients prepare and analyze financial reports, manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with local tax regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and assist in maintaining accurate and organized financial records. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a genuine interest in leveraging technology for efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
  • Deep knowledge of Portuguese tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and tools (experience with Cegid Business is a plus).
  • Strong analytical skills and sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to interact with fast-moving founders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Certified Accountant (TOC) from OCC is a plus.
  • Fluency in Portuguese; proficiency in English is an advantage.
  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, early-stage tech environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in an accounting setting is preferred.
