Position Summary

Instructor will teach up to three sections of French language per semester. Appointments are on a course-by-course basis, subject to need. Courses are classroom-based; no online sections.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching French language courses, preparing lesson plans, grading, and providing student feedback.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Candidates must be able to work with a comprehensive LMS (Canvas) and with major publishers’ online course management systems. Preference is given to those familiar with and having materials for a current college‑level French textbook.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in French Language or Literature, or a master’s in a closely related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching field (e.g., courses with FREN prefixes).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching young adults from a current college‑level textbook.

Salary Range

$3,600 per course (Master’s) or $3,900 per course (PhD)
