Role Overview
We are looking for an Automation Commissioning Supervisor to lead and oversee commissioning activities for control and automation systems on industrial projects. You will ensure systems are tested, validated, and handed over safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise commissioning of DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems
- Lead a team of commissioning engineers and technicians on-site
- Plan and coordinate commissioning activities and schedules
- Review control logic, cause & effect, and functional design specifications
- Oversee loop checks, system integration testing, and start-up activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation and control system issues
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and project standards
- Interface with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders
- Prepare and review commissioning procedures and reports
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Automation, or Control Engineering
- Strong experience in automation commissioning and supervisory roles
- Expertise in DCS/PLC systems (e.g. Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, ABB)
- Ability to interpret technical documents (FDS, C&E, logic diagrams)
- Proven leadership and team coordination skills
- Fluent in English (Portuguese is an advantage)
- Willingness to work on-site and travel
Preferred
- Experience on large EPC or industrial projects
- Knowledge of cybersecurity in industrial control systems
- Previous European project experience
