About the Role

As part of establishing a Finance support function in our Service Center in Portugal, this role is responsible for all Accounting and Finance activities of our operational entity in Germany. The position requires in-depth knowledge of financial accounting and the ability to produce accurate and timely financial reports.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the full accounts payable cycle: process incoming invoices, prepare vendor payments, and reconcile credit card and travel expense statements
  • Own accounts receivable and collections: reconcile self-billing/credit note statements, manage dunning, and process daily incoming payments
  • Maintain accurate debtor, creditor, and general ledger accounts, including cash book accounting and payroll postings
  • Build and deliver reporting in SAP and Qlik, plus required statistical filings
  • Ensure compliance and documentation accuracy: file delivery notes and control EU deliveries
  • Support day-to-day finance operations, including shared departmental mailboxes

What you bring:

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship (e.g. tax clerk, office management) or vocational training with further qualification in accounting (e.g. certified accountant/bookkeeper)
  • Several years of accounting experience, ideally within a mid-sized company
  • Solid grounding in HGB/IFRS basics and tax regulations
  • Confident, hands-on experience with SAP and strong Excel skills
  • Very good German and advanced English, written and spoken (Minimum C1 level)
  • Structured, deadline-driven working style, with strong communication skills and a high sense of ownership
