WHAT’S THE PROJECT?
The project is that you bring your talent and your ambition to a healthcare group that is building something new from the ground up.
You’d be joining Corus, a fast-growing international group in the dental sector, at a pivotal moment. The finance function is being restructured into a proper shared service center based near Barcelona, serving multiple countries across Europe. You won’t be a small cog in a big machine. You’ll be shaping how French accounting is run inside the group, bringing knowledge in-house that has until now been outsourced, and setting the standard for how the team works going forward.
AND WHAT’S MY ROLE IN THIS?
- Leading a team of three accountants, supporting their development and making sure monthly activities are reviewed and delivered on time
- Owning the full accounting cycle for the French market, including month-end and year-end closing
- Being the in-house expert on French accounting, so the group relies less on external providers and keeps that knowledge internal
- Working hand in hand with the external accountant on tax and audit, while making sure the substance stays with your team
- Producing reporting and financial analysis for management
- Ensuring compliance with French local regulations and keeping the numbers clean and reliable
- Partnering with local labs, country teams, and operations directors on the ground in France
- Helping build the shared service center model, contributing to a team that works cross-country rather than in silos
OK, AND WHAT DO YOU NEED?
- Fluent French, since you’ll work daily with French labs, teams and regulations, plus fluent English. Spanish is a nice plus
- Based near Barcelona, or ready to relocate, with NIE and SSN
- Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics or similar
- 5+ years of experience in French accounting, with solid command of French accounting rules and specifics
- Proven team management experience. You’ve led people, not just tasks
- Strong knowledge of ERPs such as SAP, SAGE or Navision, and Excel
- Comfortable owning closings and hitting strict reporting deadlines
THAT’S IT?
You’re the kind of person who takes ownership without being told twice. You’re hands‑on and pragmatic, happy to roll up your sleeves on the numbers, but you also see the bigger picture and know how to grow a team. You bring structure where things are still being defined, and you’re motivated by the idea of building something rather than just maintaining it. You communicate clearly, you’re reliable at closing time, and people trust your numbers.
