HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACTInstalls, modifies, and repairs computer hardware and software both in person and using remote access toolsProvides end-user software and hardware troubleshootingApplies basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutionsAdministers e-mail, Microsoft office, etc.Provides remote support access through desktop mirroring and other remote access applications for worldwide sitesIdentify, investigate, resolve, and follow-up problems brought to the helpdesk by users of cloud infrastructureMaintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assignedMay coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionalsWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEEDBring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Help Desk Technician IV must have:Education: AA/AS degree or equivalent technical training, certification(s) or experienceExperience: 5+ years of related experienceCertification: Candidate must possess an appropriate and current DoD 8570/8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Certification to be considered for employment. CompTIA Security+ CE Certification is the preferred certification.Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
