We are seeking a Junior Events Coordinator to join our team! You will be responsible for organizing important events from conception through completion. We are looking to fill two entry-level positions for Junior Event Coordinators to staff tables at events, on weekdays,
and some weekends, throughout Miami-Dade County for our top public sector clients. This position will report to, and support, the Marketing and Events Manager. The position involves assisting with the coordination of events that will facilitate the engagement of participants and enhance awareness about their projects. You will also support the Marketing and Events Manager with handling logistical and administrative tasks, maintaining records of all bookings, assisting with creative decisions, and attending some meetings to act as a second point of contact.
You will be responsible for understanding basic key information about client projects and be prepared to discuss materials that will be
distributed at various community events, coordinating with vendors, and understanding requirements for each event. Duties will also include booking venues, maintaining the appearance of the event sites, greeting and directing participants, and resolving any problematic issues. You will also attend pre-event and post-event meetings, complete detailed reports, and execute other tasks as assigned. As a Junior Event Coordinator, you must be well-organized and competent in communication skills and attention to detail. This a full-time position. H
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all event activities and personnel
- Distribute all meeting information and supplies to attending personnel
- Calculate and propose budgets for planned events or meetings
- Research and identify successful event opportunities
- Maintain stock of event supplies
Qualifications:
- One year experience in event planning or other related fields
- Strong project managing skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to work well in teams
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
