Overview

This role supports the French Finance team by assisting with day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, and basic analysis. The position is based in Madrid and contributes to ensuring accurate financial records, supporting month-end closing, and helping the business maintain financial visibility and control.

Job Duties

  • Assist the Finance Manager with the monthly closing process, supporting activities such as the preparation and posting of journal entries within the defined framework.
  • Assist in preparing basic financial reports and analysis for the French Finance team
  • Help maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Support monitoring of expenses and assist in tracking indirect spend
  • Prepare data and supporting files for forecasting and budgeting activities
  • Assist in following up on outstanding items (e.g. accruals, invoices)
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the Finance team and business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure correct financial processing (e.g. purchasing, sales, operations)
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to basic information requests
  • Attend finance meetings with the Country Leadership Team in a supporting capacity
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and tools

You Must Have

  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related role (internships included)
  • High level of English and French;
  • Good numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to organize work and meet deadlines
