Shaw Bakers is the artisan bakery behind La Boulangerie, known for our high-quality croissants, breads, and pastries sold in leading retailers and foodservice outlets nationwide. With our own state-of-the-art manufacturing and a passion for innovation, we partner with major national accounts to bring exceptional bakery products to millions of customers.
We are seeking an experienced National Sales Account Manager with strong bakery or perishable CPG experience to drive growth with key national retail and foodservice customers.
Position Summary
The National Account Manager (NAM) will be responsible for managing and growing key retail and food service accounts across the United States. This role requires a strategic, customer-focused individual who can drive revenue, deepen customer relationships, and develop tailored solutions that deliver results for Shaw Bakers and its customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing national and regional accounts in both retail and food service channels.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with key customer stakeholders, including senior buyers, category managers, and culinary leads.
- Develop and execute annual account plans, including sales targets, promotional programs, and new item introductions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and trade programs in alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to deliver customer solutions and ensure flawless execution.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned channels.
- Monitor category trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to inform strategy.
- Prepare and present regular business reviews and performance updates to both customers and internal leadership.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive sales or account management experience, preferably within CPG, bakery, or food service.
- Proven track record of managing large national or regional accounts and achieving sales growth.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple internal teams.
- Data-driven mindset; comfortable analyzing sales data, trends, and financial metrics.
- Willingness to travel (30–40%) to customer meetings, trade shows, and company sites.
