The Role
We’re looking for a part-time Operations & Admin Assistant who thrives on structure, loves variety, and can turn a half-formed idea into a clean, documented process. You’ll start with clear priorities and regular check-ins to shape the role around your strengths and hopefully with become an active participant in re-shaping the role as we go.

The work requires admin and systems setup but could also include marketing coordination, light bookkeeping, grant research, data manipulation, graphic design — no two weeks look the same, but the mission stays steady: turn good ideas into organized action.  We are looking for an amazing fit so will customize the role depending on your goals — or help you build the skills to start your own business. CBN proudly mentors entrepreneurial-minded professionals who want to grow their craft.

You’ll Do Things Like:
• Build and document systems (Asana, Google Drive, onboarding workflows)

• Support daily operations — research, preparing meeting agendas and recap notes, updating project management software, etc

• Assist with marketing content and campaign coordination

• Conduct research for grants, clients, or special projects

• Help manage timelines and keep priorities moving smoothly

• Learn new tools quickly (Canva, QuickBooks, Little Green Light)

Details
• ~5-10 hours/week to start, aiming for quick growth for the right fit

• $25+/hour depending on experience

• Remote; requires some overlap with 9–5 EST hours

• Ideal for someone in school, re-entering the workforce, or seeking “mom’s hours” with structure and purpose
