Vert Environmental is seeking a self-motivated B2B Sales Representative to grow the client base within a designated territory.

In this role, you’ll focus on generating new business by prospecting, building relationships, and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships. It’s a strong fit for someone who is competitive, confident in communication, and thrives in a goal-oriented environment.

This position offers a base salary plus monthly commissions and performance bonuses—giving you a clear path to strong earnings based on results.

Compensation:

$75,000 – $120,000 base + commissions

Responsibilities:

  • Inform company of all sales activities, including new business development, account status, customer needs, potential customers, and issues with competition via CRM
  • Attend online and in-person meetings, trainings, trade shows, and sales events
  • Implement and carry out strategies to acquire new clients in your sales territory
  • Maintain up-to-date information on our services and products, industry, competition, and market conditions in order to present them to clients and ensure customer needs are met
  • Follow up with potential customers to showcase and highlight our new products or services
  • Exceed monthly and quarterly revenue expectations and meet sales and lead-generating activities goals to ensure future business
  • Secure new deals and target buyers quickly, give them the information they need to envision our brand, and close deals efficiently
  • Present a win-win solution for the prospect, negotiate sales contract specifics, and close deals
  • Initiate outgoing cold calling and emailing to potential customers, schedule in-person sales appointments, and follow up on client requests for information
  • Position us as the clear and obvious choice in our market through competitive analysis and product trends
  • Grow and maintain customer relationships
  • Attend expos and events (golf events, Padres games, happy hours)

  • Convert “no” into “yes” by identifying and resolving potential obstacles such as budget, timelines, shareholders, competition, and other pain points
  • Move your sales leads and deals through the sales pipeline efficiently while consistently adding new target buyers into the funnel
  • Stay on top of market and industry trends to help educate prospects and clients on how we differentiate ourselves

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Experience using a CRM is preferred
  • To be successful in this role you must have strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Proven track record of sales experience, 3-5 years
  • A bachelor’s degree or high school diploma is preferred
  • 2 years of outside sales experience or related marketing experience
  • Team-focused, organized, and self-starter with an orientation toward service, detail, problem-solving, and deadlines
  • Proven track record in sales
  • Great communication
  • A high school diploma is required, and some industry or product knowledge is preferred
  • Exceptional negotiating, interpersonal, presentation, persuasion, and communication skills
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Goal oriented
